No acting experience is needed! This is a classic theater game in which two players are given the "who, where, and what" for a scene. In other words, the players are given two character descriptions, a setting, and a plot idea. Any of those may be unusual! The goal is to work together to create a short scene. Players can add problems and twists to make the scene interesting! It's a chance to be a ham! FEATURES: - A chance to brainstorm, think fast, collaborate, and create - A forum for enhancing communication and listening - A great game for all ages. Ages 8 and up may enjoy it most - An adjustable timer for short or long scenes - Helpful hints are provided in the game FUN WITH IMPROV: Improv can spark the imagination. It's storytelling based on a premise that the game provides. Players can take a moment to think about their characters and the imaginary setting. A story unfolds as each player offers ideas to build the plot. Players build an interesting plot by adding problems and twists. Humor can be found by exploring the unusual or exaggerated aspects of people, places, or things. Each age group brings their own level of background knowledge and experience to the game. Experienced players can encourage newer players. THE GAME IS FLEXIBLE: This is a short-form improv game. Most Hollywood Groove games are designed to be played in pairs. Yet, the games can be modified to suit larger groups, or even single players. Larger groups work together on the same game premise. Single players develop a monologue scene for a game premise.
